helloassist  is looking for a HR Administrator - Payroll (REMOTE - WFH) to manage timekeeping and payroll processes with precision and efficiency.

The HR Administrator - Payroll will handle employee time records, payroll management, and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. Results We Expect:

  • Timely and accurate monthly payroll processing for both Core team members and client-facing team.
  • Monthly payroll analytics reports to inform organizational decisions.
  • Accurate and precise handling of timekeeping records, promptly resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Documenting, auditing, and managing of PTOs and Fringe benefits as needed
  • Development, maintenance and implementation of payroll SOPs, best practices, and enhancements for better efficiency.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and related transactions.
  • Maintain and review employee timekeeping records for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with people managers to verify team members' hours worked and address any discrepancies or adjustments.
  • Prepare payroll reports and analyze discrepancies for resolution each payroll cycle.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to develop monthly payroll analytics and provide insights.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws, and company policies.
  • Manage and process employee Paid Time Off (PTO) requests, ensuring accurate tracking and adherence to company policies.
  • Administer and track fringe benefits, including allowances, bonuses, and other non-wage compensations.
  • Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to maintain employee records related to compensation.
  • Process benefits enrollments, deductions, and contributions.
  • Assist in audits of payroll records and practices.
  • Develop training materials for managers and employees on payroll processes.
  • Recommend and implement enhancements to payroll, PTO, and benefits processes for efficiency.
  • Address ad hoc payroll issues, including special adjustments, one-time payments, or urgent payroll corrections, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll administration, or a similar role—even outside of HR.
  • Proficiency in payroll software, HRIS, and Google Suite or MS Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, payroll regulations, and compliance standards
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Displays high accountability, integrity, and professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Continuous learner, adaptable to change, and embraces innovation and new technologies
  • Experience working on a Graveyard Shift
  • Experience of taking little direction and figuring things out on their own

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Outsourcing industry, or any relevant industries
  • Familiarity with global payroll processes and multi-country compliance.
  • Background in HR functions like Recruitment or Employee relations.
